The Trust comprises of two houses in close proximity – Nine Oaks and Thornton House and provides:
Single flats (or Studios) and one bedroom flats and apartments (suitable for singles/couples).
Each flat is self-contained and residents have a key to their own flat and to the main front door of the house.
Two freshly prepared meals a day are served.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the communal room in the Nine Oaks building which residents from both houses are welcome to us. Our residents can also have their own landline fitted so they can keep in touch with family and friends.
Regular social events are arranged throughout the year, including Knit and Natter, games afternoons, music recitals, quiz evenings, fashion shows and others.
A communal laundry is available. A personal alarm system is also available.

Situated in a quiet backwater with lovely gardens, yet very close to the centre of Windermere village, this small community is ideally positioned for those wanting a quiet home with everyday amenities within walking distance, including:

- Railway Station
- Doctors Surgery
- Dental Practices
- Private Parking Spaces
There is also a fantastic bus service linking all areas of the Lake District and further afield, such as Kendal and Lancaster. The train service also runs from Windermere to the west coast mainline at Oxenholme.
Our gardens are just stunning – we have large grounds and always try to have some colour coming through. We have a greenhouse and small vegetable patch that residents can use to grow their own fruit and vegetables!
